vTF-77 maintains an elite Joint Training Aggressor Forces (JTAF) squadron dedicated to providing PvP aggressor training for the task force during scheduled training nights. JTAF pilots may also serve as OpFor during campaigns and one-off missions, or participate in cooperative flying as required.

JTAF primarily and secondarily employs the DCS MiG-29A Fulcrum and the F-16C as its standard aggressor airframes, respectively.
Upon completion of combat qualification, JTAF pilots may also operate additional command-approved adversary aircraft.

JTAF is currently commanded by Col “Stormy” Christian (Interim CO) and Lt Col “Python” Anderson (Interim XO).

Opportunity to dual-qualify on other airframes on completion of Mig -29 training. ​

Slots for reserve members are open internally based on the completion of training and dependent on agreed terms of participation.​

Membership Requirements

Minimum age of 20

Regular attendance to Tuesday and Thursday training nights at 2000 PST

Life comes first. If you are unable to attend for any reason, all we ask is you notify your squadron leadership via the Leave of Absence channel. You will never be penalized for missing a night if you put in a LoA​

Willingness and drive to provide yourself as a target and training asset in an effort to improve Task Force Air Combat effectiveness.

Fortitude to create or sit through dad jokes, adult humor, and assorted shenanigans

Hands-on Throttle and Stick (HOTAS)

Head-tracking solution OR a Virtual Reality headset

Ability to use Discord and SRS (or at least willingness to learn)

Required ownership: DCS MiG-29A and or DCS F-16C module; Syria, Kola, and Persian Gulf maps.

Recommended: NTTR map; additional aggressor modules as needed.
